The work I enjoy most connects a difficult physical problem with a product people can build, use, and maintain. I bring the same attention to the system architecture and the details at an interface.
Career path
Built on aerospace. Applied across hardware.
I joined Viasat in July 2018 after graduating from Colorado State University. Five years in space-systems R&D taught me to connect structural and thermal analysis with packaging, manufacturing, environmental testing, and configuration control.
Independent consulting, which I began in 2023, broadened that experience into adjustable platforms, thermal consumer products, electromechanical enclosures, and complex geometry reconstruction. Working directly with a client makes the tradeoffs between function, cost, development time, and manufacturing very tangible.
Since September 2025, I have been a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New Product Development at Nordson Electronics Solutions. I lead mechanical architecture for precision dispensing hardware and resolve integration and reliability problems, while continuing selected independent work.

I work with electrical and software engineers, technicians, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and service teams. I make interface responsibilities clear, explain the tradeoffs, and stay involved when a design reaches real hardware.
