I accept focused, modeling-only engagements as well as broader development work. I create production-minded CAD, repair or reconstruct supplied meshes, produce photorealistic 3D renders, prepare 3D-print-ready geometry and printed prototypes, and use CFD or FEA to answer defined engineering decisions.

Establish exactly how the model, render, prototype, or analysis will be used and set the fidelity, interfaces, formats, and review points around that purpose.

Build controlled geometry

Create or reconstruct robust parts and assemblies with intentional references, editable features, clean interfaces, and an appropriate level of manufacturing definition.

Visualize or prototype

Develop accurate materials and lighting for photorealistic 3D renders, or prepare geometry and process notes for useful additive prototypes and printed parts.

Analyze the decision

Use first-principles bounds and decision-focused FEA or CFD, documenting inputs, convergence, sensitivity, limitations, and the evidence needed for correlation.

Engineering considerations

  • A modeling-only scope is welcome; the intended use and required engineering responsibility are defined at the start.
  • Visual completeness is not the same as production readiness, and a render is not evidence of verified performance.
  • Mesh reconstruction accuracy depends on source quality, available dimensional references, and the geometry that must be recovered.
  • Printed prototypes may not reproduce production material, surface, tolerance, or structural behavior.
  • Simulation conclusions are only as credible as their loads, constraints, contacts, properties, mesh quality, and correlation basis.

A productive fit

  • The required asset, file format, fidelity, and downstream use can be defined.
  • A focused modeling-only task needs experienced mechanical judgment and clean technical execution.
  • Simulation is tied to a specific design decision and the required inputs can be established.

Usually not a fit

  • Source ownership or authorization is unclear.
  • A render is expected to present an unverified concept as proven or production-ready.
  • Simulation is expected to certify a product or guarantee performance without credible inputs and validation.

Do you accept standalone CAD modeling work?

Yes. Modeling-only engagements are explicitly welcome, from a single component or assembly through model cleanup, configuration work, production-minded reconstruction, and downstream file preparation.

Can you work from an existing mesh?

Yes. I can assess client-supplied mesh data, repair and edit it where practical, or reconstruct selected geometry as controlled surfaces or parametric solids. The appropriate method depends on mesh quality and the accuracy required.

What accompanies FEA or CFD results?

I document the decision being supported, inputs, assumptions, boundary conditions, mesh approach, sensitivity, limitations, and the physical evidence needed to correlate or validate the conclusion.
